Motor vehicle accidents usually have life-altering consequences for those involved. This is why Georgia accident law allows car accident victims to get compensation from the negligent driver. The settlement covers medical bills, vehicle repair, personal property damage, emotional injuries, pain and suffering, etc. In addition, if the case goes to court, the victim may get awarded punitive damages.
