It is bad enough to hear reports of someone passing away in a motor vehicle accident. But when they were killed and the person who caused the wreck doesn’t have the guts to stick around, it is sickening. This was the case on April 3 with an Atlanta hit and run.
The police responded to a call that a young male had been struck by a car while walking along Piedmont Ave. The incident happened not far from Lindbergh Road.
The young man who was hit was identified as 28-year-old Ethan McAllister. All who spoke of him said he was a charismatic young man who was very involved in the local scene in Atlanta. When the cops arrived at the scene, they found McAllister on the ground injured. He was rushed to the local hospital for treatment. Sadly, it was reported that he died in the hospital later that morning.
The Atlanta hit and run accident took place at about 3 am Saturday morning, on April 3, 2021. Witnesses to the incident said that the victim was hit by a dark colored Range Rover who made no attempt to stop or see if anybody was hurt.
McAllister was good friends with Real Housewives alumni Kim Zolciak-Biermann’s daughter Brielle. The family sent their condolences on social media immediately after they heard news of his passing. Many members of his close circle of friends and family did the same.
The police are still looking for the suspect who hit McAllister and took off. Once they locate the driver, the victim’s family will have a good case for wrongful death. For now, there is a GoFundMe site set up for the victim’s family with more than $60,000 already donated.
